22. 01. 2013. Opening press conference

Besides the opening ceremony in BioRex, Docpoint also organised an event for the press and directors, where they could meet each other and present their work. Ulla Bergström, Executive director of the festival welcomed the guests warmly at Goethe Institute, with a glass of skumppa.

DocPoint 2013's opening ceremy was held at Bio Rex. There were lots of famous faces in the crowd for example an actor Martti Suosalo and an author Kari Hotakainen (photo below).

28. 01. 2012 Mitä humanismista on jäljellä Euroopassa?

The main seminar of DocPointin 2012 concentrated on the question: What’s left of humanism in Europe?

After screening Fernand Melgar’s film Special Flight, the actress and professor Kati Outinen, Petri Merenlahti from the human rights advisory board of the church, Refugee Woman of the Year Saido Mohamed and Jussi Förbom from Amnesty International were discussing with Claude Muret, editor of the film, and Elizabeth Marchant from DocPoint.
