27. 01. 2012 School visit with Anya Kandel

'Anya Kandel founded an organization for transcultural communication, working in Ghana, the Netherlands and California. There, local artists served as mentors to youths, and film served as a tool for their communication across borders. Kandel's documentary film Why do White People Have Black Spots? is the result of local artists working and collaborating with over 150 youth in Ghana.'

Anya visited the Kulosaari Secondary School where she worked with a class aged 13, and after watching the movie they wondered about questions, dreams, their message to the world and they tried out a bit the process of the film-making. Photos by Rita Miklán.
